DHS bans use of surgical mask for use by border patrol agents

Janet Napolitiano has banned the use of surgical mask for border agents with the explanation that it would appear too imtimadating. The only time they are permitted to use them is if they are in direct contact with a person with a suspicion of infection. Interesting note, Mexican border agents are wearing surgical masks.
