Pharmacist fatally shoots robber and gets arrested

Gun battle erupts as robbers attempted to remove currency and property from the drug mart when the pharmacist turns the tables and defends himself. The problem starts when he then pursues them out the store and wounds one of the perps. and continues firing on him while he is laying on the ground. Pharmacist was booked, charged with first-degree murder and released on bail.

In today’s world, if a trained law enforcement officer unloads his pistol standing over the robber, it would be a justified shooting.
I think that this isn’t the first time this Pharmacist had a gun pointed at him. He was probably completely pissed off (equivalent to road rage) and fired back when he was fired upon. To me, that is justified shooting. The robbers fired first. The Pharmacist is defending himself and his business.
