Marcus then pursue the perps through 4 counties at speeds in excess of 110 mph. During the persuit, he was on the phone with 911 dispatchers and was handed off to the next  county dispatcher throughout the pursuit. Mr. Luttrell final stopped them and held them in a ditch exhibiting extreme firearms restraint.

The Texas Rangers final arrived and arrested the perps. Upon arrest the perps taunted and threaten Mr. Luttrell and his family. Mr. Luttrell kindly informed them that if he really wanted to he would of dragged all of them down his garage and endlessly torture them until they would beg to be killed.

Marcus Luttrell received the Navy Cross for his actions in 2005 facing Talibon fighters during Operation Red Wing.

A MH47-Chinook  helicopter was dispatched with a force consisting of SEALs and 160th Special Operations Aviations Regiment  ”Nightstalkers” to rescue the team, but the helicopter was shot down by an  RPGs. All 16 men on the Chinook were killed.

Luttrell was the only survivor of the SEAL team. Badly wounded, he managed to walk and crawl seven miles to evade capture. He was given shelter by an Afghan tribe, who alerted the Americans of his presence, and he was finally rescued by American forces six days after the gun battle.

Mr. Luttrell wrote the book “Lone Survivor” Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10.
